“What is Dirt and Diamonds? I cannot exactly say. It is always evolving, much like the human spirit. Dirt and Diamonds is all encompassing; therefore it is subject to interpretation. As my grandmother would say, “Humph, it’s the same difference!” I can say what I feel it is not. It is not a clothing line, although clothing is a part of its expression. It is not a brand, as we refuse to be branded. It is not a label, as we refuse to be labeled. That being said, another’s interpretation may be different and may note some of what I have just denied. The other is as accurate as my interpretation, because this is Dirt and Diamonds. It is a cultural locomotive for inspiration; an unshackled expression of the self; stratospherically diverse in its beauty and abilities. Yes, it is you and I. We are Dirt, a rich substance from which all is birthed; people, art, music, love, Everything! We are Diamonds; crushed beneath our experiences, lost and found as an undefinable, fortified source of precious wonder. We are Dirt and Diamonds.”
