In an era when how much you flaunt can determine your status as an accepted MC, Don Will and Von Pea of Tanya Morgan choose lyrics and allow their music to speak for itself. With origins in Cincinnati but currently based in Brooklyn, the duo pays homage to their hometown while still keeping their music fresh and symbolic of their constant journey through inspirations and experience.

After meeting online through early forums and chat groups, the developing collective began to email each other verses and beats which would eventually come together as a classic one-off EP project titled “Sunset” in 2005 and quickly followed up by their acclaimed work “Moonlighting” in 2006. The reaction to their work led them to cement the name of Tanya Morgan and continue working together for many years and various incarnations. Although it’s currently only Von x Don as the main members the legacy continues and the music is still Tanya Morgan.

Producer Jonwayne laces Kami de Chukwu & Vic Mensa with yet another dark beat for the emcees to spazz over & murk it. Jonwayne and Kami’s chemistry is undeniable and Vic’s flow is incredible. Not sure where this will land, but expect to hear a lot more from Save Money in the near future.
