For years kids and adults alike have been dreaming of owning a pair of Marty McFly’s self-lacing Nike sneakers from “Back to the Future” and now it looks like wish is going to come true.

Nike’s innovation chief, Tinker Hatfield, has confirmed that the company is working on getting the shoes out to customers this year as 2015 is the same year they appeared in Back to the Future II. Hatfield declined to reveal an official release date or price for the sneakers, which are called the Nike Air MAG, but reminded the trade show crowd that there are still “11 and two-thirds months left in 2015.”

Nike has been teasing the release since 2011 and fans’ anticipation has been building ever since to a point where there is unprecedented demand for the shoe. Will you be copping a pair?
